Dominick Moreno was born and raised in Commerce City, Colorado. He attended Georgetown University in Washington, DC where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in American Government. Less than a year after his college graduation, Moreno was elected to the city council in Commerce City and halfway through his first term he was appointed Mayor Pro Tem. He worked as a Legislative Aide for the Colorado General Assembly before being elected to represent District 32 in the Colorado House of Representatives in November 2012. Dominick is the youngest serving member of the state legislature and currently serves as Assistant Majority Leader. During his legislative career, Dominick has sponsored legislation to expand school breakfast at low-income schools, increase homeowner awareness of oil and gas issues and allow for great-grandparent visitation with great-grandchildren.
