Fermin Avila has worked at Mile High United Way for 11 years in various roles. His vision is to serve his community and help create opportunities for individuals to meet and exceed self-sufficiency standards. Now, as the 2-1-1 Operations Manager, his responsibilities include oversight of the 2-1-1 Contact Center, service levels, infrastructure, contracting and reporting. As a community member, he services on the Customer Service Advisory Council for Mi Casa’s Employment Training Program, the Denver Regional Council of Government’s Area on Aging Advisory Committee and the Denver Regional Mobility & Access Council. Fermin is nearing his Senior year at Metropolitan’s State University in pursuit of a Political Science & Chicano Studies degree and a current Fellow of the Latino Leadership Institute. On the personal side, he’s married to a beautiful woman and father to two sons, Micah (9) and Noah (5). He loves all sports, plays soccer year round and is an enthusiastic cyclist.
