Antonio Parés

Antonio Parés is the Education Director for the City and County of Denver. In this position, he advises the Mayor, the Executive Director of the Office of Children’s Affairs, and other senior leadership on education issues and policy. Antonio also leads the City’s Education Team, whose mission is to develop and improve the City’s early childhood through postsecondary education continuum. Prior to this role, Antonio was a consultant with multiple national nonprofits focused on educational equity, and he worked in both of Denver Public Schools’ turnaround networks. Antonio started his career as a secondary social studies teacher with Teach For America in Texas, along the US-Mexico border.

Antonio is a Colorado native and a proud third generation alumnus of the University of Colorado Boulder. He also serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors for Inside the Orchestra, a nonprofit focused on art appreciation and education in Denver and beyond.
