Cristóbal (Chris) Garcia is the Assistant Director for Alumni Relations at the University of Northern Colorado (UNC), where he is responsible for expanding student and alumni engagement opportunities, and enhancing on-campus collaboration. Chris is a bilingual first generation college graduate, and is proudly of Mexican and Native American descent. He holds a master’s degree in Management Practice from the Rockwell College of Business at Colorado State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from UNC.

Chris has 8 years of experience working in higher education, and is passionate about supporting his constituents in achieving their academic and career goals. Chris is a 2016 recipient of the Council for Advancement & Support of Education’s (CASE) Virginia Carter Smith national scholarship. He currently volunteers on both the scholarship committee for the Community Foundation Serving Greeley & Weld County, and also on the CASE District VI Diversity & Inclusion Committee.
