Janet Estrada is a fifth grade teacher at Archuleta Elementary School in Denver, where she also serves on the instructional support advisory team. Prior to this role, Janet spent eight years as an elementary teacher and culture and language intervention specialist in Denver Public Schools and Westminster Public Schools (District 50). A first generation college graduate who grew up in Denver’s Westwood neighborhood, Janet currently serves on the board of the Colorado Association for Bilingual Educators (CABE). As a Fellow in the Latino Leadership Institute at the University of Denver, Janet continues to become a stronger advocate for educational equity and multilingual education while pursuing leadership roles in school administration. Janet is proud to have the support and love from her husband, Jose Antonio, and their son, Jose Jr.
