Luis Toro is the Executive Director of Colorado Ethics Watch, a nonprofit watchdog group focused on government ethics and money in politics. He is a recognized expert on Colorado state and local government law, becoming a go-to resource for numerous media outlets that include The Denver Post and 9News (KUSA).
A Colorado attorney for 24 years, Toro has tried high-profile cases before the state Independent Ethics Commission and campaign finance administrative law judges. His combination of media savvy and aggressive advocacy also served his clients well at Senn Visciano Kirschenbaum P.C., where he was a partner before joining Colorado Ethics Watch in 2008. Toro sits on the boards of the Colorado Freedom of Information Coalition and Newsed Community Development Corporation. He lives in Denver with his wife Lisa and son Alex.
