Nancy Hernandez is a first-generation, bilingual, Latina from El Paso, Texas with sixteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Her previous employers include the Gill Foundation, Clinica Tepeyac, the Colorado I Have a Dream Foundation, and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

A seasoned program officer, Nancy has experience in outreach, translation, interpretation, parent engagement, publicity and fundraising. She is adept at creating and managing student and scholarship programs. She has presented at national, state and regional conferences in English and Spanish. She is one of three co-founders for the Colorado College Alumni and Students of Color Association (CCASCA) and serves on the Board of the Chinook Fund. Nancy is also an organizer for Keeping the Dream Alive (KDA). KDA is a Colorado-based, volunteer-driven conference that educates teachers and mentors on how to advise undocumented and DACA students who want to go to college.
