Miriam Tapia Salinas serves as Executive Director for Diversity Enrollment and Community Partnerships at the University of Denver. Responsible for expanding racial and ethnic diversity at DU, in 2014 Miriam helped lead efforts to achieve the most diverse undergraduate class in University history. Miriam’s life experiences as a daughter of immigrants, a graduate of Denver Public Schools, and a first-generation college student have fueled and enhanced her passion for educational equity and higher education advancement for all. Miriam has served on numerous Colorado committees and task forces focused on college access and diversity in higher education. Miriam’s most important and fulfilling work is balancing her career with her role as a wife and a proud mother of three boys.
