Our heritage is a story carried across generations.
It lives in the ancestors who dreamed of more,
in the cultures that gave us music, language, and community,
and in the resilience that turned struggle into strength.

It is the beauty of our traditions,
the wisdom of our elders,
and the sacrifices that laid the foundation on which we stand today.

But this Hispanic Heritage Month must be more than remembrance.
It must also be about action.

Celebration must walk hand in hand with commitment—because the true measure of this month is not only in the memories we honor, but in the legacy we build.

A legacy that ensures our children inherit not only the pride of our past,
but the promise of a future where Latino contributions are seen, valued, and undeniable.

That is why the Latino Leadership Institute will use this platform not only to honor the richness of our past and recognize the strength of our present, but to call our community to action—united in shaping a future where leadership is not only our heritage, but our enduring legacy.
