Alex Renteria

Alexandra (Alex) has a passion for the art of communication. She has specialized in communications/marketing since she earned her bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Northern Colorado in 2010. Alex has worked with the Latina Initiative, Jazz 89 KUVO, Lamar Outdoor Advertising and Romero & Wilson Public Relations.

Alex currently works at Denver Public Schools (DPS), one of the fastest growing urban school districts in the nation and the largest school district in Colorado. While at DPS, she has served in both marketing and public relations roles. In her current role, as Manager of Media Relations, she leverages her diverse skill set and dedication to DPS students by supporting 200 schools and a multitude of internal departments with media interactions including crisis communication and pro-active media.

Alex serves on the leadership team for the Latinas First Foundation and is a proud big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.
