Alexis Menocal Harrigan

Alexis Menocal Harrigan serves as Director of State Government Affairs at Code.org where she works with lawmakers and policy-makers in multiple states to expand access to computer science education. Alexis’ career in public service includes; Policy Advisor to Governor John Hickenlooper, Constituent Advocate to U.S. Senator Michael Bennet, Executive Director of Intercambio Denver, Denver City Council Aide, and Volunteer Coordinator for the Colorado “I Have a Dream” Foundation. She started her public service journey as an AmeriCorps Member. Alexis was the Vice-Chair of the Colorado Latino Forum and co-chair of the Denver Latino Commission. She is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants and continues to advocate for immigrant rights. Alexis enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
