Brenda Vaden

Brenda oversees all development efforts for the Latino Leadership Institute. Prior to the Institute, Brenda worked at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains where she held multiple leadership positions. She is the Board Co-Chair of Colorado’s only Latina reproductive justice organization, Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR). Brenda’s writing has been featured on the Huffington Post Latino Voices and she continues to utilize that platform to raise awareness around reproductive and social justice. Brenda was born in Nuevo Casas Grandes, Chihuahua, Mexico and moved to Colorado at the age of nine. Since college, she has worked alongside community leaders to further advance issues affecting the Latino community. Brenda is an alumna of the Circle of Latina Leadership. Brenda resides in Denver with her husband, Jeff, and their two sons– Jayden and Jackson.
