Brian Gonzales

Social justice guides Brian, both personally and professionally. An educator, trainer, supervisor, consultant, and practitioner, Gonzales is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) dedicated to the growth and development of helping professionals, inclusive learning and community partnerships, and best practices for client and worker success. As Clinical Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Social Work, Gonzales supports field education, teaches courses in clinical practice and power, privilege, and oppression, and sits on various internal and external boards and committees. Prior to GSSW, Gonzales served his community in various capacities, including: family therapist, clinical supervisor, and executive director of a non-profit that provided mental health and substance use treatment for clients in community corrections, county jails, and outpatient settings throughout the state of Colorado.
