Fabricio Velez

Fabricio is a middle school Principal for School District 27J in Brighton. He has more than 17 years of experience in K-12 education, working primarily with under-resourced student populations. Fabricio began his career as a classroom assistant before becoming a teacher, program coordinator, and dean of students. Fabricio has expertise in designing and leading an intervention model to re-engage at-risk and dropout students. In the community, Fabricio reviews grant applications in arts education as a consultant for The Denver Foundation. Before discovering his passion as an educator, Fabricio was a professional actor and dancer in his native country of Ecuador.
