Fermin Avila

Fermin Avila has dedicated 13 years of service to Mile High United Way. A vision to serve the community and create opportunities for individuals to meet and exceed self-sufficiency standards keeps him motivated. As the 2-1-1 Senior Manager, his responsibilities include oversight of the 2-1-1 Help Center, performance service levels, infrastructure, community partnerships, contracts and reporting. As a community member, he has served on the Customer Service Advisory Council for Mi Casa’s Employment Training Program, the Denver Regional Council of Government’s Area on Aging Advisory Committee, the Denver Regional Mobility & Access Council and is appointed to City of Englewood’s Election Commission. He is married to a beautiful woman and father to two sons, Micah and Noah. He loves all sports, plays soccer year round and is an enthusiastic cyclist.
