Maria Handley

Maria runs Generation Latino, an organization aimed at lifting Latino voices through digital and social media. Maria has a unique set of skills, working campaigns, elections and non-profits. She served as Governor Howard Dean’s, Western Political Director and Deputy Director of Constituency Outreach on his presidential bid. Later that year, she served as Field Director to former Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar on his successful US Senate bid. In 2005, Governor Dean appointed Maria to serve on the Democratic National Committee, where she served on the Executive Committee and Hispanic Caucus.
In 2014, she joined the board of Conservation Colorado where she currently serves as Vice-Chair. A quilter in her off time, you can find Maria and her family traveling across Colorado looking for that per-fect fabric.
