Maria McMath

Maria McMath is an educator and research design professional who currently administers a National Science Foundation grant that dedicated to the retention of women, and women of color in STEM/SBS fields at Adams State University. As the IT Catalyst Grant Program Coordinator, Maria is responsible for administration of the grant through institutional capacity building. She brings more than 18 years of experience across a broad base of social science and cultural studies in the academic, arts, management, sales, and ethnographic research environments.
Maria leads multiple equity initiatives at the University, including Faculty/Staff Mentoring Circles and First Year Seminar for College Assistance Migrant Program learners. Maria is passionate about increasing educational opportunities and outcomes for underrepresented groups. Maria has served on numerous Colorado committees and task forces focused on college access and diversity in higher education. Maria serves as a Board member for Sangre de Cristo National Heritage Area and Center for Restorative Programs.
