Miguel Santana

Miguel is a Healthcare Leader who currently works for Connect for Health Colorado as the Legislative Support Specialist for the Department of Policy & External Affairs. He holds a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Leadership with concentrations in Healthcare Policy and Regulatory Leadership, along with a Global Health Program Management certificate from the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Science degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver in Healthcare Management. He has over ten years of experience in operations management in healthcare and retail. Miguel has worked in healthcare facilities for non-profit community health centers, hospitals, and urgent care facilities ranging in numerous specialties, including long-term care, acute care, inpatient, and outpatient services. His philosophy is to help build a healthy future for all populations by preparing, researching, leading, and assisting in developing policies, focusing on increasing the equity, effectiveness, and efficiency of health services for both personal as well as population health.
