Veronica Palmer

Veronica is the Co-Founder and CEO of RISE Colorado, a family empowerment non-profit organization in Aurora. RISE works to educate, engage and empower low-income families and families of color to RISE as change agents for educational equity in our public school system. Born and educated in Denver, Veronica is a 7th generation Colorado native. She served as CU Boulder’s first Latina Student Body President. Veronica began her career in Los Angeles as a Teach For America (TFA) corps member and has over 10 years of experience as a teacher, coach, and social entrepreneur. RISE has been awarded the TFA Social Innovation Award, the White House’s Bright Spot in Hispanic Education, Denver Business Journal’s 40 Under 40, and Colorado’s MLK, Jr. Humanitarian Award. Veronica is a proud wife and mother of two.
