Victor Zamora

Victor is driven by his life experiences as a first-generation college student and son of Mexican immigrants. His passion for creating educational equity in our K-12 systems drove Victor to KIPP Colorado Schools. Currently he serves as the Director of KIPP through College. In his current role at KIPP he has increased the college matriculation and persistence rate as well formed an official partnership with Colorado State University.  Before joining KIPP Colorado, Victor worked at Oregon State University as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Recruitment. In this role Victor lead state-wide efforts to increase diversity on campus, create college access programs, strengthen financial aid practices, and lead the implementation of the Tuition Equity bill granting undocumented students in-state tuition.   Prior to Oregon State University, Victor served as a Senior Admission Counselor at Seattle University for 5 years.  During his time at Seattle University, Victor developed admissions practices and procedures that served foster youth, undocumented students, and athletes. Victor enjoys running and hiking the many trails in Colorado with Morelia, his trusted Australian Shepard.
